Born in New Delhi. Spent the first five years of my life in Batla house, a small locality right outside New Delhi.Went to elementary school at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya. Moved to Madison, WI in 1992 and went to Van Hise Middle School for two years. Then back to New Delhi and finished high school at SPV. Spent four years doing engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Landed in USA (Dec 2004) again, to attend gradschool in Cincinnati, Ohio studying computer science. Moved to Tempe, AZ after 6 months to join the PRISM group at Arizona State University which is where I am currently. In the third semester of my Masters Program. Working as a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Peter Wonka, topics include real-time rendering, point-based rendering, GPU ray tracing.Random flashes from my life, images that are etched in my mind … – my little sister – Nida one day after being born, first day in nursery school (Kindergarten) in SPV, landing at Charles De Gaul airport in Paris at the age of 11, seeing Nani after two years in USA, the AAP trek in class 8, board exams at Mater Dei, not making IIT JEE, the “adda” at Jamia, the Tarang festival at LSR, the passing away of my favorite person – Nani, Eid ki namaaz with Abba, travelling to Trivandrum for TCS training, landing at Frankfurt airport at the age of 23 (this time unaccompanied), the first cycle ride to the lab in the burning heat of Tempe in June 2005, seeing my parents and sister after a year at the New Delhi airport (Dec 2005).
